Bad Ass Coffee Taps Iain Douglas For Chief Brand Officer

One coffee chain just got a new kick in its marketing ass -- so to speak.

This week Iain Douglas joined Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii as the company’s first chief brand officer.  The purveyor of premium Hawaiian-grown coffee, the company currently has approximately 130 stores open across the U.S.

Douglas was most recently vice president of strategy and brand development at business consultancy ArchPoint Group, where Bad Ass was a client.

"This isn't the first time that Iain Douglas has injected some Badass influence here at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii," said Scott Snyder, CEO of Bad Ass in the announcement, citing Douglas' consultant work as helping to  “shape the brand's evolved DNA and accelerate both franchisee and brand expansion.”

Douglas’ previous beverage experience includes stints as vice president of E&J Gallo Winery; senior vice president at the Mark Anthony Group, parent to White Claw and Mike’s Hard Lemonade; and CMO at Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits. He also served as vice president of global strategy and brand development at VF Corporation, where he expanded several brands including The North Face, Vans, Timberland and Wrangler.
