Essence magazine is working with iHeart Radio, Refinery29 and SoLo Funds on a media platform devoted to wealth-building.
"The Wealth Break" podcast will air bi-weekly and feature 12 episodes in its first season.
Essence and the women's site Refinery29 are distribution partners and iHeart co-produces the podcast. The co-hosts are Travis Holoway and Rodney Williams, the co-founders of SoLo Funds, a community finance platform.
“With the wealth gap growing every year, The Wealth Break is here to break it down and close it,” says Holoway. “Bringing real talk, real knowledge, and real strategies from real financial leaders to help everyday Americans take control of their money and build the future they deserve.”
The podcast will address such topics as how to navigate a six-figure salary, being cash poor, the financial realities of being an influencer and the hidden costs of homeownership. In addition, "The Wealth Break" will provide content, articles and resources.
