Bloomberg suffered a brief outage on Wednesday, interfering with several of its functions.
However, a Bloomberg spokesperson soon stated, “Our systems are returning to normal operations and Terminal functionality has been restored following a service disruption earlier today," according to reports.
Downdetector reports that the most reported problems included app (78%), website (14%) and login (10%).
The problem appeared to have occurred Wednesday morning.
One post reported on Downdetector said, “Bond auctions in EU, UK, Portugal and Sweden delayed after Bloomberg terminal outage stalls trading globally; partial service recovery started around 1pm Kenyan time.”
Another post said, “Bloomberg app is not loading properly."

In a different context, 'Bloomberg Goes Down' could mean that the billionaire and former New York City mayor suffered a personal defeat, as he did when he unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2020. 'Bloomberg' is a great name (especially through his philanthrophy) and a great brand, but this is one example where the two do not mix. A more accurate headline is 'Bloomberg Media Goes Down.....'
