Anurag Mathur Takes On VP Role At Gannett

Gannett has named Anurag Mathur as vice president of enterprise and distributed partnerships.  

Mathur will head syndication and content licensing, philanthropic partnerships and new business development in artificial intelligence and other such areas.

Previously, Mathur was the head of business Development for Amazon, focusing on sports and entertainment partnerships and monetization while promoting Amazon’s devices, including Fire TV, Fire Tablets and Alexa. Mathur has also served The Walt Disney Company (ESPN), AT&T and Citigroup.  

"Anu brings a dynamic skillset to our Gannett team, and I couldn’t be more excited to have him join us as we continue building out strategic partnerships,” says Caroline Harris, senior vice president of content monetization, to whom Mathur will report. “Anu will be responsible for the oversight and growth of Gannett’s partnership program for USA Today and the more than 200 local publications across the USA Today Network.

Mathur says he looks forward to “crafting partnerships that drive sustainable revenue streams.”
