Media 3D, Oh!

As a trade reporter covering rapid advances in digital ad technologies -- especially digital out-of-home activations -- I sometimes feel like I've entered Rod Serling's "fifth dimension." Actually, I'm not sure what that even is, but ad tech definitely has made advances in at least three dimensions, including new out-of-home signage capabilities being released by "mobile-first" ad developer Big Happy.

The new billboards and street signage (see example above) is part of a new division Big Happy has launched and they just hired Walmart's Gabby Stoller to run it.

Stoller, who most recently has been a senior director of Walmart Connect, previously worked for digital out-of-home advertising platform Vistar Media.

“Most DOOH creative is still an afterthought — resized display assets running on screens that deserve better,” Stoller says about her new role as general manager of Big Happy's new division, adding, "We’re giving brands the chance to rethink what DOOH can be: a stage for immersive, animated creative that helps brands stand out and punch above their weight.”
