The New York Times has rolled out a new feature — family subscriptions.
“It’s here — our new family subscription option,” the Times says in an email.
Subscribers can give unlimited access to everything in the Times to three others, including family members and friends, at a single rate.
Each reader will have their own login and personal account.
The Times promotes the offer by promising, “No more battling over who gets to solve Worldle every day.”
In addition, it provides individual recipe boxes for both carnivores and vegans.
The Times urges subscribers to “share your love of The Times with this single-rate solution—without the cost of four separate subscriptions.
The new program had been announced earlier.
In May, the Times reported that it had added 250,000 digital-only subscribers in the first quarter, and now has 11.86 million subscribers overall, including 600,000 print. It is aiming for 15 million by the end of 2027.
