Google accidentally disclosed financial projections last week, including the predictions that ad revenues this year would reach $9.5 billion, a 58 percent increase from 2005, and that AdSense margins
will be "squeezed" this year and beyond. The predictions, made last year, were mistakenly included in slides that the company posted online after hosting a conference for analysts. Google Tuesday
filed a document with the Securities and Exchange Commission explaining that the disclosure was inadvertent and outdated. "Consistent with past practice, Google is not providing revenue guidance," the
document stated, "In addition, the statement with respect to AdSense margins does not reflect Google's current expectations."
