'Barrons' Editor David Cho Hired As CNBC EIC

David Cho, previously editor in chief of Barrons, has been named editor in chief of CNBC, effective August 11. 

Cho will be responsible for all coverage across the linear, digital and direct-to-consumer platforms of CNBC. 

The new editor has also served as head of editorial content for Dow Jones Wealth and Investing, and as business editor of The Washington Post.

“David’s appointment as Editor-in-Chief marks an important evolution for CNBC as we unify editorial efforts across every platform,” says KC Sullivan, president of CNBC. “With his deep expertise in business journalism and a strong track record as a strategic leader, David is uniquely positioned to guide our newsroom into the future.”
