Ad Market Decelerates Through First Half, Expands 3.1% In June

The U.S. advertising market saw some bumps up and down through the first half, but overall decelerated, expanding just 3.1% in June, according to the most recent monthly data from Guideline's U.S. Ad Market Tracker.

June's growth was less than half the 6.9% market expansion in June 2024.

Digital continues to take share from non-digital media, accounting for 74% of total spending in June, up from 70% last year, and 68% in June 2023.

National TV advertising share continues to erode, dropping to an index of 60.21% in June, down by more than a third from June in the U.S. Ad Market Tracker's baseline year of 2017.
