Whataburger is commemorating its
diamond anniversary with both national and regional events focused on the burger chain’s fans.
On “National Whataburger Day,” Aug. 8, Whataburger Rewards members
nationwide who order online or through the chain’s app will receive a classic #1 Whataburger for 75 cents. Customers are allowed customization and add-ons for an additional charge, but can only
receive one bargain burger per customer.
"Whataburger's story has always been one about people: the fans … Family Members (which is how the chain refers to their employees) …and
the communities that have welcomed us like family for 75 years," says Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud, in a press release. "This anniversary is our way of saying thank you.”
Also on Aug. 8, customers in Whataburger’s hometown city of Corpus Christi, Texas, can attend a game at Whataburger Field for an "Orange Out" night, where the brand is encouraging fans to
wear its signature bright orange color. Minor league team The Corpus Christi Hooks, who will play that night as the “Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits,” will be up against the Tulsa Drillers.
The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a limited-edition “Whataguy” mask. The first 5,000 attendees will receive a “Whataguy” cape, and every guest will
receive a coupon for a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. The night will end with an orange fireworks display.

commemorative cups with new designs beginning Aug. 5 with a “75th table tent-inspired design.” A silver striped anniversary cup follows on Aug. 19, with another that pays homage to
locations’ A-frame design following on Aug. 19. The cups will be available for a limited time both in restaurants and online at whatastore.com.

its social platforms @Whataburger.
