Red Lobster's New LTO Isn't Limitless, But Does Cost Less

Red Lobster’s latest limited time offer plays off the brand’s formerly ubiquitous Ultimate Endless Shrimp offering, but with a message that hits where consumers care most—their wallets.

The New Ultimate SpendLESS Shrimp consists of a single serving trio of shrimp dishes: garlic shrimp scampi, shrimp linguini alfredo and popcorn shrimp. The starting price is $15.99 depending on location and does not include refills.

For comparison, the company’s decades-long all-you-can-eat shrimp entrée sold for $20-25 before the chain suspended it in 2024 after declaring bankruptcy. At the time, Red Lobster tied $11 million in losses to the unlimited dish, thus contributing to its Chapter 11 filing.

"Since stepping into this role, I've gotten questions about Endless Shrimp – 'Is it coming back? 'What really happened with the promotion?' 'How much shrimp is too much shrimp?' And it's time we officially turn the tides," says Damola Adamolekun, CEO of Red Lobster. "We're starting a new chapter here at Red Lobster, one that's smarter, more sustainable and still packed with the value and flavors our guests have come to expect… It may not be endless, but you'll definitely spend less."

A new national TV spot, seen here, promotes the limited time offer, poking fun at the name’s similarity to its previous incarnation. A male customer is seated at a table inside a Red Lobster and, after perusing the menu he hears the voiceover describe the Ultimate SpendLESS Shrimp offer. “Now you know that sounds just like…” he says to the VO which responds with more details of the less expensive entrée.

Separately, Red Lobster has also made its Seafood Boils a permanent menu item and introduced a new line of fall-inspired cocktails including the Caramel Dream, containing Absolut Vodka, butterscotch, caramel and cream, garnished with a sea salt chocolate caramel; the Apple Harvest Punch, which has Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, cranberry, lemon and apple juice, with an apple slice and cinnamon stick; and the Gold Rush with Maker's Mark Bourbon, honey and gold shimmer, garnished with mint.
