September is National Deaf Awareness Month, and for the second year in a row one family entertainment pizza chain is raising funds to benefit hearing-impaired kids across the U.S.
Chuck E. Cheese has again partnered with the American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) on a national fundraising campaign for the month. Guests at more than 450 Chuck E. Cheese locations nationwide
can contribute by rounding up their check total at the register in-store or online at order.chuckecheese.com.
“Chuck E. Cheese has always been an ambassador of inclusive family fun, a
unifying force that brings families together in pursuit of togetherness and play,” says Alejandra Brady, senior director of communications and D&I at CEC Entertainment.
The monthlong
effort reflects the company’s broader dedication to accessibility and inclusion for all kids. In 2024 the chain launched its first “sign-along” videos in American Sign Language (ASL)
and has since evolved its birthday song to be available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Arabic and ASL.

On Sept. 28, World Deaf Day, guests can donate 20% of their check to
ASDC by presenting a fundraising voucher, available at ChuckECheese.com, upon checkout.
The chain also held a celebration specifically for ASDC families during its “Sensory Sensitive
Sundays” on Sept. 7, where hearing-impaired kids enjoyed pizza and games with their peers to help strengthen social bonds and confidence as well as ease the back-to-school transition.
