
Apparently Demi Lovato likes
pickles so much that even her dog is named “Pickle.” So it isn’t much of a stretch to find the entertainer starring in the latest spot for the return of the Jimmy John’s
Picklewich.
Originally launched at Jimmy John’s last year, the Picklewich replaces sandwich bread or rolls with a giant kosher dill pickle, which is sliced in half and hollowed out to
hold the sandwich ingredients. The Picklewich has now returned to the chain for a limited time in several varieties, including the Vito, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna and Veggie.
“Last
year the Picklewich took the internet by storm. This year, we wanted to give our devoted pickle fans even more to celebrate,” says Kate Carpenter, vice president of marketing at Jimmy
John’s. “We’ve created a pickle-lover’s dream.”

A new digital spot for the comeback of the Picklewich features Lovato, seen here, riffing on her love of the briny green vegetable with a nod to her own various comebacks. “When I heard the Picklewich was making a
comeback, I thought to myself, so glad I’m not the only one,” says Lovato as she reminisces about her previous “eras.” “Now I’m in my pickle era,” she
explains, kissing her dog, who is predictably dressed as a giant pickle. 
Jimmy John’s JJ Rewards members were given early access to The Picklewich earlier this month during what
was called the “Pickle Freak Weekend,” Oct. 24-26.  
In addition to the Picklewich, the chain has also brought back Pickle Jimmy Chips, which are Jimmy John’s own
dill pickle-flavored potato chips. New this year is the Pickle Ranch dressing, as well as a Triple Pickle combo deal, which includes a choice of Picklewich, Pickle Jimmy Chips and Pickle Ranch.
