Elliott Publishing Sells Custom Printing Business

Elliott Publishing, Inc. has sold its custom printing business to Quincy, IL-based Area Distributors, Muddy River News reports.

Elliott will continue to publish four weekly newspapers: Camp Point Journal, Golden-Clayton New Era, The Liberty Bee-Times, and Mendon Dispatch-Times.

Jim Elliott suffered a serious stroke over six years ago, and could no longer continue running the custom printing business.

“Jim and I were a pretty good team with him managing the custom printing side of the business and me managing the weekly newspaper side of the business,” says Marcia Elliott, president of Elliott Publishing, Inc. according to Muddy River News. However, with Jim’s debilitating stroke, I have been doing his job and mine, which has meant many long hours. Even with the wonderful staff of Lisa Newell and Sherri Bradley to help, it has been a challenge.”
