Agentic Operative: AI Technology Enters The Newsroom

Agentic technology, so widely used in ecommerce, is now available to publishers and creators.

TNL Mediagene, a Tokyo-based digital media and data group, has launched the Agentic Newsroom, an AI-driven global content system.

The platform automates translation, localization and distribution of content across international markets. It also automates cross-market content adaptation and distribution, while incorporating editor feedback.

The company has also debuted  CiteRadar, an enterprise SaaS analytics platform that monitors how AI models describe brands, products and competitive landscapes, allowing clients to monitor their AI visibility and control their narrative and brand consistency, the company says in its announcement.

To start, the initiative will allow TNL Mediagene, to distribute its licensed, original content to its media brands in Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The system automates routine editorial aworkflows, freeing journalistic teams to concentrate on reporting and content creation. It will also generate a proprietary dataset of editorial workflows and multilingual content.

In addition, The Agentic Newsroom will open up new B2B revenue opportunities, the company adds.

"The Agentic Newsroom represents a fundamental shift in how media companies can operate at cross-border scale. By leveraging AI to handle translation and distribution, we're enabling our journalists to focus on what they do best while ensuring our content reaches its full international potential," says Richard Lee, chief technology officer at TNL Mediagene, in a statement.

Doubtless, this idea is spreading around the globe.
