The Trump Organization’s gold-colored
“T1” smartphone release has been delayed again, according to a report by The Financial
Times.
Initially slated to ship to consumers in August, President Trump’s smartphone release
was delayed until October but never rolled out. Despite the phone being available for pre-order on the Trump Mobile website for $499 (with a downpayment of $100), the official release remains
undetermined.
Trump Mobile’s customer service team reportedly told TheFinancial Times
that the recent 43-day U.S. government shutdown delayed deliveries of the phone and that there’s a “strong possibility” the smartphone would not be shipped before 2026.

The venture — run by Trump’s eldest sons — was first announced in June, requiring a plan of
$47-per-month while offering 5G service through AT&T, Verizon and T Mobile, with unlimited talk, text, and data, device protection, roadside assistance, telehealth services, free international
calls and more.
The gold-colored smartphone was also originally going to be made in the United States,
offering consumers an alternative to mobile devices made internationally by Apple and Samsung. However, following supply chain skepticism, Trump Mobile later altered its “American-made”
website copy to “brought to life in the United States.”
Following the expected October release date, Trump Mobile stopped updating consumers
about shipping expectations, removing shipping dates from its website entirely. Around that time, the company began offering second-hand mobile phones from Apple and Samsung for purchase “with
an inflated price tag.”
No information has been provided by Trump Mobile as to when its “T1” smartphone will officially ship, nor how much
of each device will be made in America.
