Grubhub may not be able to do anything about
how much tax its customers owe on April15, but it can do something about the fees they paid for delivery services.
From now through April 15, consumers can take advantage of the brand’s
new Grubhub Fee Return when they submit any 2025 receipt from any food delivery app with fees included for a chance to win $20 in Grubhub credit. The national effort will give back $100,000 in Grubhub
credit to 5,000 diners who paid food delivery fees for any food delivery app in 2025.
The program aims to ease “Taxiety,” with the brand citing a recent Credit Karma study that
found nearly half of Americans (46%) call tax season the “most financially stressful time of year.”
Grubhub tapped Canadian comedian and social media celeb Veronika Slowikowska to
star in ads for the Fee Return program, where she “spirals through ‘taxiety’ in real time.”

In the :60 online spot, seen here, Slowikowska addresses the camera, “Are you filing your taxes this year? .. As you sit there failing to locate your W2, praying you
don’t make a typo, there is a bigger problem tugging at your wallet… delivery fees.” Slowikowska proceeds to crash out while reviewing recipes from past food deliveries. As
she describes the Free Return promo, ending with “It’s like Grubhub’s whole thing. Ending the fees,” she struggles to free herself from an old delivery receipt
stuck to her shoe.
Grubhub recently waived fees on all deliveries over $50.
Also through April 15, Grubhub is offering $10.40 off $50+ orders from “fan favorites”
Sweetgreen, Krispy Kreme and Chili's. New Grubhub customers can also get $10 off their first $50+ restaurant order with code FeeReturn10.
