Jollibee’s latest collaboration is a
gamer’s ultimate “fantasy.”
The Filipino chicken chain has teamed up with Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV, the online role-playing game with more than 30 million
registered users.
Beginning April 21 and running through May 31 in the U.S. and Canada, the collaboration will consist of both real world and in-game experiences, such as themed meals,
exclusive merchandise, an in-game “Eat Chicken” animation feature (referred to as an “emote”), a Jollibee store takeover and a loyalty sweepstakes.
The brand has
created two new meal deals for the partnership. The Final Fantasy XIV Box Meal contains a chicken sandwich (original or spicy), a regular side, a Peach Mango pie, one-piece Jolly Crispy Chicken and a
Pineapple Quencher drink. The Final Fantasy XIV 6-Bucket Bundle contains a six-piece Jolly Crispy Chicken Bucket and three Pineapple Quencher drinks.

Each themed meal contains a code to unlock
the Eat Chicken emote -- a character that depicts the Jollibee mascot riding on an animated chicken.

Gamers can also
get the code for Eat Chicken through purchase of limited edition co-branded merchandise, which will be sold exclusively through culture and fandom e-tailer Complex. Available items includes a Moogle
hoodie and T-shirt, based on the game’s fluffy, winged creatures, and the Chocobo crewneck sweater and T-shirt, which features the game’s large, friendly and “famously fast”
bird character.
Final Fantasy XIV will take over Jollibee’s Anaheim, California store April 21-May 31, to coincide with the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival taking place nearby from April
24-25. The location, which will be decorated in game-themed décor, will also distribute Jollibee x Final Fantasy XIV stickers made specifically for Fan Fest while supplies last.
