One of the country’s largest pizza
chains is incorporating AI to help make customer orders “a little bit easier.”
Little Caesars’ customers can now order their pizza and other items using ChatGPT
directly from the Little Caesars app. The brand says this “first-of-a-kind feature” is available across all U.S. locations and for many of its restaurants in Mexico and Canada.
Customers can specify whether they desire personalized recommendations, have dietary needs, budget constraints and/or need to order in a hurry, among other prompts from which ChatGPT will create
their meal recommendations.
“Today's consumers are turning to GenAI as part of how they search for everything, including where to get their next meal,” said Greg Hamilton, CMO of
Little Caesars. “We recognize this shift and want to meet our customers where they already are and be the go-to for their pizza occasions. The process is as natural and intuitive as having a
conversation. It's not just about technology for technology's sake – it's about making life a little easier for people who love great pizza.”

The AI integration utilizes Little
Caesars’ existing mobile app infrastructure and capabilities to “ensure a seamless handoff” from ChatGPT to checkout. Consumers can open ChatGPT, navigate to the app directory to
locate the Little Caesars’ app, and connect the two accounts to use the new AI ordering system.
“From a technical standpoint, this app in ChatGPT demonstrates the power of
connecting enterprise restaurant systems with large language models,” added Anita Klopfenstein, global chief information and digital officer, Little Caesars. “We've built a sophisticated
backend that enables ChatGPT to access our menu, pricing and store locator data in real-time while maintaining security and compliance standards.”
Last week Starbucks also announced it
has added ChatGPT ordering capabilities through its app.
