It's one thing to protect your staff from incoming hacking and phishing attacks. It’s another to safeguard the emails you are sending.
The cyber security
firm KnowBe4 is offering a possible solution: a pair of features called Prevent’s DLP rule builder and Misdirected Content Analysis.
The rule builder tool allows administrators to create
and manage their own rules to block unauthorized messages from going out. They can set smart controls, such as a rule to block an email if it contains multiple pieces of sensitive data.
The AI-powered Misdirected Content Analysis detects when data is about to be sent to the wrong person. The user receives a context-aware notification before the email is
sent.
Add it all up, and KnowBe4 has combined data protection (around what’s in the message) with AI-driven checks on the recipient (who’s getting the
email).
"For small and mid-market organizations, data protection often feels overwhelming, it's expensive, complex, and requires specialized skills,” said Greg Kras, chief product
officer at KnowBe4.

The company’s dual-layer defense “not only gives organizations the autonomy to secure sensitive data like PII and financial records, but it also turns
every near-miss into a teachable moment that proactively corrects human behavior, which is the root cause of most data leaks," Kras adds.
The new features will be available in June.
