As someone who has never been to the
Cannes film festival, I've often wondered how it compares with the Lions advertising festival. I always assumed the cinema industry version was glitzier, more fun and entertaining and the placed you'd
rather be. Turns out I was wrong, according to experts who have attended both.
"What a different game this is," "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills'" Rachel Zoe said when "The Traitors" host and
Executive Producer Alan Cummings asked during NBCUniversal's session at the Lions festival this morning.
"This is wild," she continued about her first time at the Lions.
"It feels like
people are much more crazy here," Cummings offered.
"It actually does," Zoe agreed, adding, "This is a wild energy. I love it. It's like everyone is amped and wants to meet each other. I think
that's a big difference."
"I think the Cannes film festival is a bit chi-chi," Cumming said of the film festival, adding that the ad festival by comparison is, "Everyone's like, 'Dude!'"
Speaking of crazy, is it just me, or was NBCU's Seth Myers and Colin Jost also supposed to be part of this session? Could be they went to the wrong festival.
