Pizza Hut Launches Throwback Value Menu, Nostalgic Streetwear Line

Pizza Hut’s new value menu looks to the chain’s past to bring deals to its customer in the present day.

This week the pizza giant rolled out a new Throwback Value Menu, which includes both new items and fan favorites from the past. The menu includes a $10 medium Stuffed Crust Pizza, $3 Personal Pan Pizza with one topping, $4 Breadsticks, $4 Cinnamon Sticks and $3 Pepsi 2-Liter. The two new menu items are a $6 Triple Cheese Mac and $5 S'mores Sticks.

“Some of Pizza Hut's most iconic menu items have stood the test of time because fans never stopped loving them,” said Melissa Friebe, CMO for Pizza Hut, in a release. “With the Throwback Value Menu, we're bringing those favorites together at great value and pairing them with experiences that feed good times and celebrate everything people love about Pizza Hut.”

The brand has teamed up with streetwear maker Dinner Service NY, which is known for its sustainable, retro-inspired restaurant workwear. The new Dinner Service NY Streetwear Collection takes inspiration from old school Pizza Hut uniforms and the pizza chain’s Book it! reading program for the limited-edition collection, which includes button-down shirts, camo jackets, T-shirts, sweaters, rugby shirts, hats, totes and socks. The collection is available at www.dinnerserviceny.com, while supplies last.

On the Pizza Hut app, the brand has added a new “Back to the Hut” digital experience where Hut Rewards members can “test their Pizza Hut knowledge through in-app trivia and challenges to unlock rewards, collectibles and exclusive experiences.”

The Throwback Value Menu, “Back to the Hut” digital game and Dinner Service collab are all extensions of the brand’s “Hut Originals” platform, which launched earlier this year. The platform was inspired by chain’s popular Pizza Hut Classic locations, all of which feature the chain’s retro red plastic cups, red roofs, checkered tablecloths and Tiffany-style lamps.
