OpenAI, Subsidiary Settle Federal Charges That They Favored Foreign Workers

OpenAI and its Statsig subsidiary will pay $3.2 million to settle Justice Department charges that they favored foreign workers and discriminated against U.S. job applicants, Reuters reports. The complaint alleges that the companies obtained temporary employment visas and took steps to discourage U.S. workers from applying. Statsig is a maker of product development software.
