Taco Bell’s latest partnership brings together a tangy chile seasoning and a Grammy-winning Mexican artist for spicy collab.

The taco giant this week rolls out its new limited time Tajín menu, with all three items containing the chile, lime and sea salt seasoning. Available beginning Aug, 13, the collection features the Tajín Taco,  a crunchy shell seasoned with Tajín, seasoned beef, spicy ranch sauce, lettuce, cheddar cheese and mango salsa. The Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch has a Tajín-seasoned crunchy taco shell wrapped in a flatbread with a blend of mozzarella, pepper jack and cheddar cheeses, seasoned beef, spicy ranch, lettuce and mango salsa, served with a Tajín Clásico Seasoning packet. The Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze blends tropical pineapple flavor with strawberry-flavored syrup and Tajín.

“Taco Bell and Tajín have both inspired the kind of loyalty and enthusiasm that can only come from real fan connections,” said Luis Restrepo, CMO, North America at Taco Bell, in a release.  “This collaboration is an opportunity to bring our brands' worlds together in a way that's exciting, unexpected and rooted in what fans already love.”

The brand teased the new menu at its Live Mas Live event earlier this year and went wide with the Tajín items after “strong fan demand in subsequent test markets.”

To promote the Tajín menu, the brand tapped Grammy-winning Mexican artist, and lifelong Tajín fan, Peso Pluma. Pluma, who performed at the brand’s Live Más Live event in March, also tried the new Tajín menu while in the Taco Bell Test Kitchen earlier this year.

Pluma, Taco Bell and Tajín have collaborated on a limited-edition bag charm set, only available through the Taco Bell app. The collection consists of a small Tajín bottle in a hand-beaded holder, a mini Taco Bell bag that holds Taco Bell hot sauce and Tajín seasoning packets, and a heart charm with Peso Pluma's logo.

The brand will release 400 bag charm sets via its in-app Tuesday Drops on Aug. 18, available to Taco Bell Rewards Members while supplies last.
