A group of almost 300 French newspapers has filed a complaint with the country's competition authority,
saying that Google's new AI Overviews -- AI-generated summaries of search results -- will erode traffic to their own
websites. Google launched the feature in France in late July. "The editors are not seeking to halt
innovation,” the APIG association said in a statement.“They are asking for this value to be shared, and for compensation of the use of
