PRIMEDIA, RadioShack Expand Partnership

PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the licensing and direct-merchandising arm of the publishing behemoth, has expanded its relationship with RadioShack. Under the terms of the deal, the companies will continue to develop and promote 1:10th scale radio-controlled vehicles in conjunction with PRIMEDIA's Super Street and Lowrider magazines. RadioShack will also add PRIMEDIA's Hot Rod and 4 Wheel & Off-Road to its line of radio-controlled vehicles.

"Making sure we could offer tuner enthusiasts realistic features and options was essential to the long-term success of our new XMODS Custom RC product line," said RadioShack senior vice president, marketing Don Carroll in a press release. "By joining with PRIMEDIA, we were able to tap into their intimate knowledge of the tuner market and create a fun and affordable product platform that has been readily embraced."
