As part of its continuing restructuring, Universal McCann has named a global account director for two of the agency's prized accounts, Intel and MasterCard. Stuart Bogaty joins as managing partner,
global accounts from his role as CEO at interactive combo shop OgilvyOne/mOne/Neo@Ogilvy. By hiring a top executive at an interactive operation to oversee the two large accounts, UM may be signaling
its intention to explore more diversified media options for the clients. Bogaty will report to Nick Brien, UM's worldwide President-CEO. "His interactive and search experience coupled with his
proven track record of client management is outstanding," Brien said.
UM has been in a months-long transition with the recent additions of Steve Soldano as global managing partner
on Microsoft; Wayne Fletcher as global head of communications planning; Graham Duff as president of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions; and Graeme Hutton as director of consumer insights and
research for the United States. Meanwhile, Jean Pool, executive vice president and COO for North America, recently retired.
