Yahoo Launches First TV Ads In Years

Yahoo is launching a multimillion-dollar ad campaign to promote its home page makeover and expanded services, such as Yahoo Answers. The campaign features TV, radio, online, movie theater and online components, the company announced Monday. Consumers who visit the Yahoo home page on Friday can print out a one-day coupon for a Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee. Several of the ads feature user-generated content from film students. TV spots break on Sept. 21, and will air on professional baseball, MTV and late-night comedy shows. Certain elements of the campaign will be localized for 14 international markets.
