Omnicom Group, Madison Avenue's darling on Wall Street, released strong third quarter results Tuesday morning, beating the predictions of many financial analysts. Omnicom, the parent of the OMD and
PHD media services networks, and agencies such as BBDO and DDB, reported revenues of $2.77 billion for the quarter, a 10% gain over the third quarter of 2005. Profits rose 9.5% to $177.1 million.
