Magazine Publishers of America has tapped PR veteran Howard Polskin as vice president, communications. Polskin, most recently Sony Corp. of America's VP, communications, will oversee the MPA's
internal and external communications strategies.
"Howard's experience as a journalist and a communications executive with major media companies makes him ideal for this role at MPA," said
president and chief executive officer Nina Link in a press release. "He's also adept at working in a complex, fast-moving environment where he's had to serve the interests of many different
stakeholders."
Before his Sony tenure, Polskin ran CNN's New York public relations department. He joined Turner Broadcasting in 1993 as vice president of PR for the Turner Entertainment Group.
Prior to that, he worked as a staff writer in the New York bureau of TV Guide.
