NFL Network has signed a major carriage agreement with Charter Communications, the nation's third largest multiple-system operator. Charter, which serves 6.4 million homes, is the first cable company
to carry NFL Network. As part of the agreement, NFL Network will provide Charter with a separate high definition (HD) simulcast feed of the channel beginning with the 2004 NFL season, and a customized
video-on-demand (VOD) package that includes access to the Emmy-award-winning NFL Films library, and extended highlights of each NFL regular-season game.
