Loews To Ban Trans Fats In Its Hotels

Hotel operator Loews Hotels Holding Corp. says it will ban all trans fats in its 18 hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada by June 1. The decision follows a ruling by the New York City Board of Health to ban trans fats in restaurants. The Loews ban will apply to restaurants, room service, banquet functions and mini-bar snack food, the company said.
