Comcast Corp. and Gemstar-TV Guide International Tuesday announced plans for a joint interactive program guide development group using TV Guide Interactive's existing IPG platform as its foundation.
The goal is to create a next generation guide for Comcast and other cable TV operators. In a related announcement, the companies entered into a long-term licensing and distribution agreement ensuring
carriage of TV Guide Channel, TV Guide On Demand and the TVG Network on Comcast systems.
