IN GOOD COMPANY -- VNU, the Dutch-based company known best for being the parent of Nielsen Media Research and ACNielsen, has changed its name to The Nielsen Co. While that sure has a better ring than its previous name -- an acronym for "Verenigde Nederlandse Uitgeversbedrijven," which, in case you don't have your Dutch translator handy, stood for United Dutch Publishing Companies -- we couldn't help wondering what some of the other finalists were in the corporate rebranding initiative. Here, thanks to a leaked memo from one of the Riff's most intrepid sources, are the top 10 discarded suggestions for VNU's new corporate name:

The Firm Previously Known As VNU
Vee Own You
Kohlberg, Kravis Roberts & Co. LP
Don't Count Us Out
Calhoun, Whiting, Mandel, Jacoby & Myers
The Nielsen Monopoly
