Hit Me: NBCU, Reveille Sign 2-Year Deal

NBC Universal has reached a two-year deal allowing it a first option on shows developed by hot Hollywood producer Ben Silverman and his company Reveille. The arrangement covers NBCU's broadcast and cable outlets.

Reveille has brought "The Office" and "The Biggest Loser" to NBC and "Nashville Star" to NBCU's USA. This season, the company developed hit "Ugly Betty" for ABC.

The deal covers all scripted and unscripted projects from Reveille, an independent operation.

"We are excited about the variety of possibilities that this newest collaboration will bring for NBC, SciFi, Bravo and the USA Network," said Jeff Zucker, the new CEO of NBC Universal.

Reveille has been notable for transforming successful foreign shows into hits stateside, such as "The Office" and "Betty."

One of Reveille's founding mantras was to develop shows offering beneficial integrations for advertisers.

"NBC is the perfect outlet for our edgy-but-accessible content. We can't wait to find the next hit series for them," said Silverman, founder-CEO of Reveille.
