Land Rover will launch an outdoor campaign in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami this week for its LR2 vehicle that features motion pictures, literally.
Land Rover is
using New York-based Submedia, an agency that uses a series of image light-boxes to create the illusion of motion, to give pedestrians in motion a brief filmic experience of the vehicle.
Like
flip-book animation, the stationary displays become four-second movies from the perspective of people walking past. There will be a total of 15 such displays.
Market buys include American
Airlines Arena in Miami, North Riverside Drive in Chicago and New York's Gramercy Park.
