American Suzuki is launching a series of new ad pods under its "It's gonna be a great ride" campaign, which debuted last October.
The company will introduce four new ads, which star both
Suzuki cars and Suzuki motorcycles, and are an extension of earlier ads as well as a short film based on them. The spots showcase the XL7 crossover SUV. Set on a high desert road, they are only 10
seconds each and focus on a distinct vehicle feature. They can be mixed and matched or combined to be one complete 30-second spot. The ads are via Colby and Partners, Brea, Calif.
One, touting
the SUV's seating for seven, starts with seven people acrobatically balanced on a Suzuki Boulevard. Another opens with a man on a Boulevard, this time with an impossible load of boxes on the back.
Voiceover: "Wouldn't you love a Suzuki with 95 cubic feet of cargo space?" The ads break in May.
Suzuki also posted its best-ever March, with sales of 11,030 units, and the company's best-ever
first quarter with sales of 27,794, up 4%. The company last year posted over 100,000 vehicles for the first time in its 22-year history in the U.S.
