GM's Cadillac division is getting title sponsorship of an award given to a film maker at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The Cadillac Award goes to the feature film chosen as the best by
festival audiences.
The winner of the award, which used to be called the Audience Award, will be announced before the closing night premiere of the HBO documentary film "The Gates," about
the eponymously named Christo art exhibition in Central Park.
Festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal and Liz Vanzura, global marketing director for Cadillac, will announce the award and the winner
will receive $25,000 cash prize and a one-of-a-kind trophy to commemorate the achievement.
