When brands mention a “drop,”
it’s generally referring to a fashionable clothing line or collectible swag. But now Wingstop is scheduling regular “drops,” with limited-time offers and yet-to-be-announced
merchandise collaborations.
The brand wanted to create the “same anticipation and craveability (of a drop), giving fans access to offers, flavors, merch collabs and limited-run
releases.”
The first “drop” is available now through Aug. 17, where customers can get a buy-one-get-one-free offer on the chain’s chicken sandwiches by using promo code
“bogosammy.” The offer is only good on an a la carte sandwich or sandwich combo on Wingstop.com or the Wingstop app.
"Wingstop Drop is our way of bringing drop culture into our
world," says Wingstop's chief revenue officer, Mark Christenson. "It's made for the trend setters – the flavor cravers, the culture creators and the fans who know what's hot and want it
first.”

The next drop will be announced sometime after Aug. 17, and the drops are slated to continue “debuting each week through the start of football season.”
Customers must follow the brand on its social media platforms on TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook in order to find out when the drops will occur and what they contain.
Despite tying the
drops to football season, the brand is actually the official chicken wing partner of the NBA and has previously partnered with Houston Rockets’ shooting guard Jalen Green for its National
Basketball Association All-Star Game TV spots.
Wingstop currently has over 2,800 locations worldwide, reporting approximately $5 billion in systemwide sales for the 2024 fiscal year. Founded
in 1994 and headquartered in Dallas, the company has also reported 21 consecutive years of same-store sales growth.
