Taco Bell Taps Ovens For CMO Post

Taco Bell Corp. has made David Ovens CMO, effective Aug. 6. Ovens will handle the Irvine, Calif.-based company's food marketing, brand planning and communications, PR and field marketing functions, replacing Bill Pearce, who left the company to found a start-up venture in medical technology.

Duties of the CMO position in the interim are being filled by Bob Fulmer, VP/Field Marketing, who is temporarily reporting directly to President Greg Creed.

Ovens is currently CMO, Yum Restaurants International in Australia and New Zealand.

Taco Bell is owned by Yum Brands.
