Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos has acquired Erwin-Penland Inc., South Carolina's largest advertising and marketing firm. Specific terms of the agreement were undisclosed. Erwin-Penland will
continue to operate under the direction of agency principals Joe Erwin, Gretchen Erwin and Allen Bosworth. All of the firm's employees and all of its clients, including Verizon Wireless, Michelin
North America and BMW, will remain on board. Hill, Holliday will be responsible for half of Verizon Wireless's retail advertising in the U.S.
