So YouTube might be in the video business, but Hunter Walk, the company's business product manager, couldn't walk away fast enough from MediaPost Raw's video camera. I button-holed Walk right after
the panel he sat on concluded, asking him to do a five-minute video interview. He declined several times, saying I should "set something up" for another time, as he did the polite speaker thing,
meeting and greeting and taking cards from overly-eager biz dev types. Why, I asked him, if had a few moments to collect cards, wouldn't he take a minute to chat about YouTube and so forth. I'm
with MediaPost--you know--the host of the conference. I was surprised by his blunt and negative response. Mmmm, maybe it was the camera. Or, maybe YouTube doesn't want any questions from journalists.
I managed to slip one in though about whether YouTube will come out soon with a plan to share revenue with consumers. "It's something we've been talking about," but Hunt obviously wasn't playing ball
though he said he'd be "happy to follow up" at a later time.
