'Heroes' Returns, Nissan Is Branded Entertainment Partner

NBC's rookie hit show, "Heroes," is returning with Nissan North America in a bigger role as its big branded entertainment partner.

A new campaign will start with the season premiere, which will be exclusively sponsored by Nissan with limited commercial interruption. Product placement in the show for the new SUV, the Nissan Rogue, will be integrated into the episode, being driven by a main character.

Nissan got a major boost for its association with "Heroes" last season, a surprisingly strong rookie show. The Nissan Versa model was also worked into the story line, in which the character Hiro has been driving.

For next year, NBC and Nissan will broaden the entire deal that will include product integration, off-channel promotions, wireless, traditional television advertising and on-air and online sponsorships.

This will include the sponsorship a "Heroes" music video and the season one DVD release.

Nissan will also sponsor the full episode of "Heroes" on NBC Rewind for 24 hours after the show's on-air premiere.
