  • February 5, 2004
The Audit Bureau of Circulations has added two publishing heavy hitters to its recently formed Magazine Publisher Liaison Committee: Eric Schrier, president, North America, Reader's Digest; and Jack Griffin, president, magazine group, Meredith Corp.

"In challenging economic times like these, it's critical that we redouble our efforts to encourage proactive communication between publishers and the advertising community," said ABC president and managing director Michael Lavery in a press release. "The combined expertise of these highly regarded individuals reinforces ABC's ongoing efforts to provide a collaborative forum and relevant products for all ABC members."

Other members of the MPL Committee include Essence Communications group publisher Michelle Ebanks, Economist chief operating officer Elizabeth O'Rorke and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia president, publishing Lauren Stanich. The committee is designed as a forum in which top-level publishing and ad execs can discuss ABC rules, as well as exchange views and ideas.
