SABMiller tapped MEC Global Solutions, the international client consulting division of MEC, to handle its brand communications planning work. The move comes
less than two weeks after Johnson & Johnson
awarded its U.S. communications planning chores to Naked.
Work was previously handled in-house, and consists of training and mentoring duties. The assignment does not affect current media
relationships. Starcom remains SAB Miller's long-time media agency. "We have been working with MEC for some time, and they have been massively helpful in raising the standards of our communications
planning," said Charlie Hiscocks, brand communications director for SABMiller.
