What Makes a Master of Marketing?

Bob Liodice is opening things up comparing great marketers to the great innovators over time: inventors Gutenberg, Edison, Bell, Carrier, Ford, Pasteur and the Wright Brothers. Then there are the advertising giants Burnett, Bernbach and Ogilvy. Qualities of great marketers, he says, are: Creativity, Resourcefulness, Motivation, Intellectual Curiosity and Unique Problem-Solving.

Liodice was preceded by an A-Z montage of television ads for brands represented in the room.  Terrific work to watch. Nary an interactive campaign among them, although a few user-generated spots hit the screen.
