IAB Makes Three Key Hires, Asks for Insight on Rich Media Guidelines

  • November 13, 2007
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has added three new hires to its management team, tapping former executive talent from Turner Broadcasting, DoubleClick, and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Sherrill Mane will serve as senior vice president of Industry Services--working with agencies, publishers and third-party vendors to lead the IAB's efforts in reducing both the complexity and costs of interactive advertising. Mane most recently served as senior vice president of Market Strategy for Turner Broadcasting's News division.

Patrick Dolan, former executive vice president and CFO of the Early Learning Coalition of South Florida, has been named the IAB's senior vice president and chief administrative officer. Dolan will be responsible for finance, operations, costs, compliance, and risk management.

Meanwhile, David Doty will serve as the IAB's new senior vice president, thought leadership and marketing. Doty, former director of corporate branding and creative services at Booz Allen Hamilton, will help drive the growth of interactive advertising overall through collaborations with marketers and agencies.

In addition, the IAB has asked agencies, advertisers and publishers to read and comment on a proposed set of Rich Media Measurement Guidelines. Available for analysis at www.iab.net/RMM, the proposed standards will be used to help determine at which point a rich media ad impression is counted. After 30 days, the feedback will be reviewed, and the IAB will finalize the guidelines for public release.
