Candidate Ron Paul Remains Internet Favorite

  • December 10, 2007
U.S. President candidate Barack Obama surged ahead of Hillary Clinton in campaign site traffic last month, but Ron Paul remained the Internet favorite, drawing nearly half a million visitors to his site in November.

Obama wrested the No. 2 spot from Clinton with 318,179 monthly visitors to the New York senator's 289,615, according to new data from Web measurement firm Compete.

Reflecting recent gains in Republican presidential polls, Mike Huckabee enjoyed the biggest online gains of any candidate--nearly doubling site traffic to 270,349 and vaulting him past Fred Thompson into fourth place. Huckabee also continued to be the candidate people spend the most time with online, at about 17 minutes per visit.
