Whether you're a freelance search consultant or working under the umbrella of a search firm, chances are that as your business grows, you'll need to do some traveling. With interstate travel, down
time in airports is almost inevitable -- and the Search Mojo team is no stranger to the trials of working at the airport.
Whether its lack of Internet access, awkward seating or the
virtually nonexistent power outlets, airport waiting area structures typically don't lend themselves well to getting computer work done. Nonetheless, the Search Mojo team serves up a list of the top
four search marketer-friendly airports -- starting with the JetBlue terminal at New York's JFK.
JetBlue offers free WiFi, power access via Samsung plug-in kiosks and adjacent, comfortable
chairs in its waiting area. Meanwhile Virginia's Richmond International and Colorado's Denver International both offer WiFi (DIA's is ad-supported), but less accessible power outlets. Lastly, LAX
offers T-Mobile Hotspot service for about 10 bucks, and ample places to get some juice -- albeit with spotty access to comfy seats.
The team listed Chicago's O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth
and New York's LaGuardia as some of the worst worker-friendly airports.
