The rock band Panic At The Disco will headline the 8th annual Honda Civic Tour, the music-focused marketing program for Honda's Civic. As with prior iterations of the tour, members of the band will
modify Civics, which will be on display at tour venues.
The tour, via Marketing Factory, Los Angeles, begins April 10 in San Francisco at the Warfield Theatre and will close at The Honda
Center in Anaheim, Calif., on June 14. Full schedule, on-sale dates and support acts will be announced at a later date.
The company says that nearly two million consumers have attended the
concerts. Honda says this year the tour includes nonprofits Reverb (a "green" concert-tour company) and Global Inheritance. They will have interactive exhibits during the tour.
Honda says for
every Honda Civic Tour Panic At The Disco ticket purchased, $1 will go into a fund designated for non-profit tour partners Reverb and Global Inheritance.
As with earlier Civic tours, fans enter
to win the band-modified Civic Hybrid, which has also been autographed by the band.
Past Honda Civic Tour headliners include The Black Eyed Peas, Blink-182, Everclear, Incubus, Good Charlotte and
New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional, Maroon 5, and most recently, Fall Out Boy.
